The best thing about working in Bermuda is living in Bermuda!
My wife Kirsten and I moved back to Bermuda a few years ago. We came from Montana and activities like skiing, fly-fishing, rafting, and hiking. For work, we jumped out of airplanes and fought forest fires all over the US and Canada. When Kirsten became pregnant, on a whim, we packed up and moved to Bermuda. For me it was moving home; for her it was moving to a whole 'nother planet.
We started off scrambling for jobs and soon decided to try making what else, but Bermuda shorts. The idea had actually been simmering for years. I wore good old fashioned Bermuda shorts everywhere, but they weren’t great for travel. They took hours to dry and we knew a lightweight fabric would be better on the beach and more comfortable. My wife Kirsten added fun Bermuda designs.
Between the initial proto-type and first order, we couldn’t say you could wear them sailing and then to the office without actually doing it. So we did, along with going to the beach and even a few Bermudian weddings.
As we grew, an old friend from high school happened to fit perfectly. Andrew Williams joined the company with broad talents in business development, sales, and Internet Marketing.
