Our Story
I've lived at the New Jersey shore my entire life. So when my family and I began visiting Bermuda in 2000, people would ask why we would spend two weeks a year in Bermuda, when we already lived so close to the beach. I would simply reply, "The turquoise water and tropical setting, of course." For the past eight years, sunny Bermuda has been a special vacation spot for my family and me.
After reading an article featuring Bermuda Styles in my favorite coastal magazine, I ordered a pair of shorts and a skirt. All summer long, my family and I would wear them while boating, going out to party events, or just lounging around. Everyone loved them! These island-inspired, incredibly comfortable, micro-fiber shorts, skirts, and trousers were simply the best.
I became so interested in the brand and contacted the company to see if they were interested in selling Bermuda Styles in New Jersey. Soon after that, I became a sales representative and helped spread the word in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. My mind was set on expanding the company anywhere in the United States where recreation met golf, fishing, or water sports, or even a night out on the town. Bermuda Styles began to expand rapidly throughout the United States and reached as far as the United Kingdom through the website.
As I was getting into the swing of things as a representative, I received a phone call that the current owners were planning to sell Bermuda Styles. I was devastated. However, I already knew the products and had ideas for expanding the current line; it just made sense for me to go for it. I planned a strategy to buy the blossoming company and by the middle of 2007, I was the new owner of Bermuda Styles. Since 2007, Bermuda Styles has seen steady increases in sales and inventory, as well as a new addition of women's Bermuda shorts.
It seems wherever Bermuda Styles clothing goes, the vacation and island spirit follows.
